The Quality Assurance for Food Products (QAFP) Certificate was developed on the initiative of the Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry in 2009. The assumptions for the QAFP system were developed by scientists from the best academic centres in Poland in cooperation with the meat industry practitioners and experts.

On December 11, 2009, by decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the QAFP Quality Assurance for Food Products was recognised as a nationwide system. Since its establishment, the QAFP system has gained recognition from consumer organisations.

Quality in the QAFP system is built throughout the entire production process, in alignment with the “from farm to fork” philosophy, beginning with the utmost care paid to the wellbeing of livestock through the production and packaging of meat products until their distribution to shop shelves.
